Flight Experience and Pilot Stories

As I approached the aircraft on the 30th  October 1997, I was full of excitement and anxiety being my first time inside an aircraft cockpit.
Capt, Jeremy did all the routine procedures as I watched, learned and listened to instructions on what I should look out for and do whenever I am to prepare for flight.

When the pre-flight inspection was done, we entered the cockpit. I followed on what I was being taught, but I admit that most of the time in flight, I was either looking at the instrument panel , the clouds , listening to the radio transmissions being made by him to the tower and informing other aircrafts within the airspace of our position and just admiring how wonderful nature looked from above.

Of course I also had a chance hands on at the controls to learn a few basic maneuvers like yawing, rolling and pitching the aircraft.
After touchdown we went back to the briefing room and reflected upon what we had been doing.

That was my first flight at the controls.

The Wright brothers are credited for the first powered flight and thus, now aviation.

Every pilot had a first flight.

Share with us here as we reflect on memorable moments in flight.
